Inspired by a recent group post from someone sharing a delicious looking collard wrapped burrito, it seemed somewhat fitting to share an idea for times when big leaves may not be available.
Lately, with larger green leaves having become so scarce during Wintertime months, loads of smaller leaves may easily be transformed into "flatbread" & "tortilla" wraps for burritos, pinwheel sandwiches, etc.
This works wonderfully as it allows us to get so many greens into one serving to maximise our nutrition intake––almost like wrapping a salad in a salad!
The texture is also quite similar to bread tortillas, so incredibly satisfying when one happens to crave something resembling cooked comfort foods (or just something quick on the go––as we are currently considering adding these to our ever-expanding menu for local market stall & wellness event customers in the upcoming season)..
As a final thought, it may be worth mentioning that we have been saving/cataloguing all of our experiments from the past couple of years for some upcoming collaborative books (still in progress)––and have been discussing the possibility of planning some Veganarchist (Test) Kitchen dining & workshop events by special invite for those who might like to experience a tasting menu of items to be published. Interested?
If so, please be sure to watch this space for news on those drops!
