Nasi Lemak

Finally managed to try this CBD kopitiam stall during lunchtime. Narrowly missed the wanton noodles as they were sold out for the day and got the nasi lemak which did not disappoint. Frankly though, I am happy with just super lemak or coconuty rice ✅, sambal chilli ✅ and crunchy peanuts ✅ (these were dry-roasted to a salty, addictive crunch!). I do wish the cucumber slices were fresher and more satisfying, though the turnip achar (lol mistook these for chunky fries at first glance) and deep-fried thin wanton crunchies (imitating ikan billis) were surprisingly well-executed. This plate also came with mock fish and mock luncheon meat, both of which were forgettable and rather blah. This rather sizable plate satisfied my top three criteria so it's still pretty outstanding by my standards. FYI: nasi lemak is available only on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Damage was just SGD4.

Delicious and super affordable. Located in CBD but price is even lower than residential area. And no compromise on taste and quality.. go support. Also the person manning the stall is super patient and friendly. Witnessed how trusting he is when a patron mentioned she forgot her wallet. A grand total of $18.80. He just said to her can pay the next time she visits. 🌱🤍

Queue was crazy long today because it's first day of the chinese lunar calendar and all the chinese people emerge to consume vegetarian food. 🐱 We queued for a good 30 mins at least. But for only $4 you can get nasi lemak! They are very generous with the portion, especially the peanuts. I love peanuts 🥜🥜🥜

they hv daily specials and there is always a long line of ppl. their nasi lemak comes with a variety of mock meats. I love the battered and fried enoki mushrooms. come early to avoid the snaking long queue
