Mushroom Croquettes

Another rather expensive dish but this genuinely tasted amazing! the potatoes and #mushroom 🍄🥔 fried together to give this #light and #fluffy mushroom #croquette 🍟 the sauce that was drizzled had a deeper, smokier and tangier flavor almost like an elevated barbecue sauce! and then top it off with some sprigs of cilantro 🌿 but mind you that it is 5 pieces as an appetizer at ~$18 i believe? If it was served as fast food, this would have been gone in less than 1 minute 😂

Croquettes have a special place in my heart, though my doctor used to insist he meant my arteries. I’m sure he’d be delighted to know that these are #mushroom based & that I’m much healthier now without the murder in my life — #govegan by the way. These #croquettes are fantastic! Perfectly crisp on the outside & a starchy soft on the inside. Some balls have a surprise larger chunk of #shiitake in them. The #braised sauce they put on it was surprisingly mild. So-so, thing layer of crisp outside, potato-wedges-kinda texture inside. Actually thought they were potato croquettes at first…

It was an okay dish. Was served piping hot and there were shiitake cubes inside.
