Unlocked a new #accidentallyvegan dish at my go-to haven for #vegan kueh: glutinous rice! Chatted casually with the staff and realised there are no lard or dried shrimps in this traditional recipe. Just omit the sambal chilli. I opted for a mix of sweet (top) and savoury (blanketed in fried shallots) rice - portion is huge.. that's the most rice I've ever eaten in a while! Set comes with choice of drink and mini kueh/ ondeh-ondeh with burst-in-mouth gula melaka. Appreciated this one because it's so unusual for a no-shrimps version, but will probably return for the kueh alone. #stickyrice
