They have a vegetarian menu with some vegan items just ask for it. This is
one of them, eggless fried rice!

try when you’re there. It looks really ‘healthy’ and like it has no taste but actually it’s damn tasty. Don’t judge by it’s cover 🤣
was told Din Tai Fung had good vegan options! I followed the list I found from about 5 different blogs and ordered what I fancied.
Too bad I couldn’t get noodles but a simple fried rice (no egg) was an option.
A little plain and a bit oily for my liking. But a good option if you’re not into plain rice.
Light and easy on the palette.
Could still have more flavour

would grow up to say that! Guess you were right mom! #jaan
but today we had the one without egg. Good attempt at making a fried rice without egg but it was just not the same for me 😩 Felt like it was sorely lacking in taste and flavour. Maybe they could have added more sauce/seasoning or something. I added the shrimp chilli on the table to it and it was a bit nicer 😅
is a special kind of Japanese rice that is really high quality, and cooked perfectly al dente with chopped green veggies. Definitely a must order; pairs nicely with their sautéed veggie options!
needs. The rice was surprisingly fragrant even though there was no egg. After hearing that I was vegan, they also informed my family of the vegetable dishes that were not vegan friendly and offered to put the sauce on the side or omit it completely. Still pretty expensive for just rice and veg though... maybe next time I will ask for egg on the side!
