Don’t be fooled by the messy aesthetics of this dish, it’s packed with so much flavour and spices that I couldn’t get enough of it 👅 The flakey texture was so similar to a fish fillet and the sauce was sour, spicy and savoury all at once. Loved the addition of veggies on the side. Would definitely order this again! 🤤 #veganisnotscary
If you like something really spicy I’ll recommend you try this. Great to go with turmeric rice and it’s a very traditional peranakan dish.
Baked Nyonya veggie "fish" is one of their signature dish. I like their food presentation. There are 3 slices of "fish" in this dish. They are baked together with some mixed vegetables and rich, sour and spicy sambal sauce. This dish is spicier 🌶 than other dishes but the spiciness can be reduced after we squeezed some fresh lime juice over it. I find that the food at Coco veggie Nyonya cuisine has its distinct character and taste. Baked Nyonya "fish" is coated with sour and spicy sambal paste. The "fish" texture is just right. They add ladies fingers and long beans which goes well with the dish. It is abit spicy but you may squeeze a fresh lime to reduce the spiciness. It is a nice dish. #veganfish
