One of their most popular bento boxes! 🍱 Kennard shared that he used to love noriben, which refers to a simple and popular bento box of rice with roasted seaweed, usually accompanied by fried fish and other side dishes, widely available in convenience stores and train stations etc. 🇯🇵 This vegan rendition was carefully R&D-ed to be tasty and indulgent while being more nutritionally balanced, making it enjoyable without feeling too sinful hahaha. The crispy battered soy 'fish fillet' was surprisingly flaky and convincing! 🐟 Also served with nuggets glazed in sweet and tangy housemade rice vinegar sauce, roasted nori seaweed and simmered kelp, kinpira braised shredded burdock root and carrot, as well as marinated spinach. 🥕🥬 All on a bed of moist fluffy 16 mixed grain Japanese rice. 🍚 Non-veg companion was impressed by this!
