Mexican Bowl al Wholefood Merchants — Recensione di tardisco (4 feb 2025)

This is the 'Mexican bowl', described as 'spiced beans, topped with avocado, sour cream, jalapenos, coriander, creamed corn, with a side of brown rice and tortilla chips'. I got the brown rice switched out for more chips, which is why this looks like a bowl of nachos.

Beans could do with more spice. Avo I was expecting as fresh slices or at least a bright green guac, but I think it was one of the sauces sitting at the bottom of the bowl(??). Looooots of chips. Did not finish the stack of chips, which were just run-of-the-mill plain tortilla triangle chips. There was also a mango-like flavour in one of the sauces/creams, but nothing in the description would explain it. Mysterious. Overall a bit meh. #chips #beans
