Vegan meal for the flight from Tokyo to London in December 2022. I was so surprised that this menu was created for “vegan on board” by a famous Japanese chef.
Appetizers were beautiful and tasty. Cauliflower with kombu dashi and tofu mousse was delicious. The walnut and basil gelée added flavour to it. Spring roll was filled with soy meat and vegetables. It came with tonburi(Japanese mountain caviar) dressing.
As for the main, I’m not a big fan of green curry, but it was the best green curry I’ve ever had. The meal also came with rye roll and apple jam. It’s a shame there was no vegan dessert except fruits. I hope vegan cake or ice cream will be added to this menu.
Overall, I was satisfied with this meal and I felt like having lunch at a vegan restaurant.
I found that all ANA flight from Tokyo started to serve this vegan meal from November 2022 and they serves it all year.
