Never again... I've been dodging meals at the Bell because its just boring for vegans. But this was a supper date so I tried the burger... I deconstructed it because I didn't believe the aioli or bun was vegan. The patty was horrible. 1 star to get the review in and for the fries that saved me.

Their olives on the small plates menu comes with anchovy butter so the kind waiter got me all I wanted : olives & bread with a side of fries. The olives were meant to be orange infused but these tasted plain and it was satisfying. Ciabbatta, okay. The tequilas with burnt grapefruit I had on the side gets 5 stars 😎.

MUCH better than the burger. Very thin base which I like. Nice combination of toppings - red onions, tomato, mushrooms and baby spinach. It has some vegan cheese on top which I was convinced was actually dairy blue cheese - I checked twice to make sure! The texture is pretty different to cow cheese though. All in all I enjoyed this a lot. R125

This was okay. It's a chickpea patty. Well spiced but quite mushy. The chips were not great. R115 seems like a bit much considering how cheap the ingredients probably are. At least they have a vegan burger on the menu!

Decent vegan burger with a lentil patty and hummus. Quite expensive at R115, especially considering it’s not a Beyond Patty. Flavour was good and the chips were delicious.

I was so glad to see that the Brass Bell has included a vegan item on their menu but did wonder why it was more expensive than both the beef & [free range] chicken burgers? 🤷🏼‍♀️ The burger & chips were pretty good- I asked for no onion rings as I don't like them🙈 The chips were crispy but fluffy inside and the burger patty seemed to be made out of lentils and maybe mushrooms (?), topped with onion, some hummus, herbs, a slice of gherkin and some tomato. 🛎 🍔🛎️🍔 #greyton

This is a fairly good burger. It is pretty simple but comes standard with chips and a couple onion rings. The paddy is lentil based and very tasty.
