So I’ve tried Real Food once at Orchard Central and really liked both the place and food! It was like a tranquil oasis in the heart of busy Orchard! The menu is also extensive offering both asian and western selections.
This time round, I came to the South Beach one with a bunch of friends who accommodated me with a vegetarian place. And they actually enjoyed the experience too!
As for me I tried the Tom Yum Noodle Soup. The tom yum paste was homemade, the broth was good and had a spicy kick and the spinach noodles was delicious. Tasted pretty much like the regular tom yum except with a good mix of vegetables and tofu- but I wish there was a lil more tofu in the dish. There was only one cube of white tofu in mine.
Another worthy mention was the Curry Noodle Soup which my friends had. This version used oat milk with coconut oil. I tried it and it was surprisingly good. Never tried using oat milk in my cooking - definitely will experiment with it in my next thai-inspired curry!
The only thing I didn’t like that night was the fermented lemonade drink I ordered. For $7, the taste was light and bland. They didn’t have kefir and kombucha ready both of which I would have preferred.
Becoming one of my fave vegetarian places with a nice ambience to catch up with friends, friendly prices and extensive menu!
