As if Gongfu Bao wasn’t amazing enough, every Wednesday evening they have a full vegan
menu. I’ve been dying to go and finally made it - it was so worth it!
This jackfruit bao was my least favourite of the three dishes I tried and yet it was still awesome. The jackfruit is marinated in the same sauce they use for their brisket, which has a slightly sweet quality to it. It’s topped with crispy shallots to add some crunch to the pillowy bun and soft jackfruit combo.
All in all, a great bao I would happily eat again!
