this was truly health in a bowl yeets !! havent had brown rice in ages and it was well cooked, w a nutty taste. love me my eggplants - soft and simply flavoured. the chickpeas and hummus were yummers!! lowkey would have loved to toast the sourdough though idk how it matches w the rest so i j ate it separately (love plain bread tho so aint complaining)!! yeets thanks prof for the treat -- otherwise budget kid here would never :"")
The Great Vegan Bowl: This is a filling nutritious meal with so many ingredients. Loved the eggplant, and the pomegranates were a nice interesting touch
Super love! Second time eating this and I just love all the elements of this bowl: hummus, eggplant, pomegranate, broccoli, bread, brown rice, chickpeas, and seasoned red onions. It’s also really filling and for a decent price considering it’s a cafe.
One great thing about this Great Vegan Bowl is how it looks, otherwise it was pretty meh, especially the broccoli and eggplant which are quite tasteless 😕 Fair to say that the hummus and pickled onion somewhat salvaged the dish, but again, for $14+, there are many tastier and more nutritious options out there. However, thumbs up to Bread Yard for being pretty vegan/vegetarian friendly as some fish/meat options can be swapped out for other vegan toppings 👍
A great heaping brown rice bowl that definitely lives up to its name with wholesome ingredients like fried eggplant, roasted broccoli and tangy sumac onions. Seasoned with zaatar and accompanied by an assortment of dips like amba (pickled mango sauce), hummus and tahini. Phew. Not pictured were also 2 slices of sourdough that came with it! #veganisnotscary day 7
