Anyone who says being vegan in Japan is hard is lying!! 🇯🇵
My partner & I spent 3 weeks in Japan this spring for cherry blossom season & we had no issues finding delicious vegan food. Granted, I did have an Excel spreadsheet more
That said, I respectfully disagree with "Anyone who says being vegan in Japan is hard is lying!!". The truth is that eating out in Japan is not easy without pre-planning. Worse if you're outside of central hubs in big cities like Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka. Even if one is planning to grab takeaway bentos or side dishes from convenient stores or supermarkets, he will find that even in the vegetable dishes, non-vegetarian ingredients like bonito/fish are UBIQUITOUS (very disappointing)...
I love visiting Japan but the diet has never been the reason I keep returning.4 likesReply
It got a little squished 🙈 I got this from the Norwich Vegan Christmas Market & I think it was £2.50 which is a great price for a cupcake.
The flavours were amazing, it tasted so much like crème brulèe!

I love tofu & I love satay so this is the most perfect dish for me! 😍 The texture of tofu is difficult to explain & my words definitely won't do it justice. It's one of those things that you need to experience firsthand. more
These were super tasty but I'd never tried actual brie (pre-vegan) so I don't have anything to compare them to. The outside was crispy & the inside was gooey & warm. Cranberry was the perfect flavour dip for this.
