I have never given prebiotic sodas any thought, but they caught my attention in the store. With a yeast intolerance, I hesitated due to the apple cider vinegar, but I confess I was curious to see if my recent SIBO treatment had any effects on my intolerances. Plus, ginger is a bonus digestion benefit and #everyeffortcount crossed my mind.
I was bummed that I could barely taste the ginger, but that is probably just me. I like lime, so the flavor was good and the fizz was just right. With only 4g of (cane) sugar, definitely a healthier choice and I still felt like I was enjoying a treat of soda over a flavored, sparkling water. I am not a fan stevia’s flavor, but I did not notice it.
Sadly for me, my stomach blew up like a balloon, so no working my way through the flavors, but I recommend it, since it is tasty and low sugar. Be warned, a single can is pricey at USD$2.49 (📍Wegmans), so if you want to drink it regularly, consider a multipack. 🍋🟩
