This pie was perfect for a vegan when the rest of the family had chosen fish for their supper. It meant we shared the same accompanying vegetables of new potatoes, broccoli and runner beans.
The pie is well designed for contrasting texture. A melt in your mouth light pastry casing, rich porcini mushroom and oat gravy. The topping is a triumph - crispy kale crumb. Oh my, it’s crunchy and delicious and irresistible with the filling.
I will get this again.
