Even though it's nothing fancy, this is my favorite ground beef substitute. It's inexpensive, it doesn't look gross "raw", and it doesn't have a weird aftertaste. This has been a staple in my fridge since I first went vegetarian! It's wonderful for the dirty rice or bolognese rice filling in stuffed peppers. I've also used it in tater tot hot dish. It's super easy to use and season.
