Review of Beyond Popcorn Chicken - Beyond Meat by beckyyy

I’ve never had popcorn chicken before- vegan or otherwise- and now I have 2 brands of vegan popcorn chicken in my freezer. Beyond Chicken Tenders are a favorite of mine so I decided to try these Beyond Popcorn Chicken first.

These are essentially mini chicken nuggets, and they are very good! I was afraid that with a product like this the breading would be overwhelming but I found these still had a good “meaty” bite. They are lightly seasoned and very satisfying.

I wasn’t able to get them to the crisp I wanted following the oven instructions, so I broiled them for a bit after exceeding the 6 minute cook time. Though it took a little bit longer, this was still a pretty fast cook time and they came out nice and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.

It is unfortunate that these are contained in plastic, but that’s the industry standard at the moment and I’m glad that the pouch is resealable so no additional plastic bags or fasteners are needed to keep it securely closed in the freezer.

I ate these sprinkled on a salad, topped with vegan ranch dressing.

I purchased these for $4.98 at Walmart. I’ve not seen them at other stores but I imagine that they are or will be available at stores that sell other frozen Beyond products.
