We were so eager to try this vegan #cinnamonroll that I forgot to take a picture before we cut it in a half to share. But I think, despite the operation it went through, it still looks kind of good and delicious.
I actually wasn't at the main store in Bertastrasse, but at the pop-up store in the main station of Zürich, which will be there until the end of April. It was just a random case I discovered it: one morning I was walking to the library and on my way I decided to stop to pick up some lunch for later. I wanted to go to Bakery Bakery, but there was such a long queue I couldn't wait. Moon was there, no one waiting, just the two ladies one baking and one waiting for clients. If something is called moon, how can I resist, a moon adorer as I am? Then, from far away, I read #plantbased and there they had me! I took a sort of small pizza to eat for lunch, it was delicious. The waiter was oh so nice, which as we discussed yesterday with @lestroismoutier isn't so usual here. And they had small pieces of #cinnamonrolls to taste, I was so happy. That's such a great marketing strategy. While I was waiting for my pizza to be packed up, two ladies came in looking for breakfast. As they saw the label "vegan", they were ready to leave... Instead of saying something unfriendly, I told them that the cinnamon roll was delicious, and they gave it a try and finally decided that actually they "aren't allergic to vegan food", so they stayed! I hope people can start to be more open-minded...
I didn't take some sweets then, but I went back with my husband some days later to have an afternoon snack: the cinnamon roll was calling me 🤣 the second time, I could try a piece of cardamom bun (that was unfortunately finished) and I'm still dreaming of it!
