NOT FRIENDLY TO VEGANS OR VEGETARIANS. Recently I have been to Glo a couple of times for work lunches. There is nothing vegan on the menu, unless they’re counting the “Market Greens Salad” which I don’t because have we not moved on from the “vegans only eat salads” trope, especially on the West Coast? The only other dish I am able to order is the Buddha Bowl, with or without tofu. Not even a veggie burger on the menu. BUT you must specify no dairy because although not listed on the menu, they do put yogurt on top (who puts yogurt on a Buddha bowl??). I forgot this last time and had to send it back. The dish that came back to me was mushy and oily, the sauce must come from a bag. The time before that (a few weeks ago, also a work lunch) I ordered it with tofu, but the tofu tasted weirdly sour so I didn’t eat it. I looked it up later and realized that sour taste is the tofu going bad. 😳 Luckily did not get sick but decided not to order the tofu again. Next time we have a team lunch I’m going to suggest ordering in, going to Caravana down the street, or head somewhere else entirely.
