It had a nice light #pumpkin flavor. There were a very small amount of #chocolatechips, but I feel like they weren't needed. A local vegan store located in a Buddhist temple hosts quarterly pop ups throughout the year. Today was a mini pop up celebrating the Mid-Autumn festival complete with moon cakes and other vegan delights. This #pastry contained wonderfully crisp and refreshing #wintermelon, and was absolutely divine. Everything I've had from It's All Natural has been amazing, and I highly recommend it if you're ever in the area. I have never had one of these tarts before but decided to try one from the Temple #bakesale over the weekend. They are interesting! I think back in the day, when I was a vegetarian I wouldn't like these if they were real egg, but the vegan egg is actually way better for something like this. It's sweet, savory, and buttery. The tart itself was crumbly, but sweet and delicious. The center filling was a bit custard like, but a bit thicker. This #redbean bun was super delicious! I love their savory buns! They're so light and fluffy, and the filling is mostly savory, but it has a slight sweetness to is. The Asian bun itself was like a perfect combination of dinner roll and sweet pastry. I just love them so much! They're the perfect comfort food. The red bean filling has a bit of a different texture to it. It's slightly gritty, but also like a jam. On Sunday I took Ollie to the It's All Natural vegan Bake Sale / Friends + Family event! (Swipe for a cute photo) This dog owns my heart! Anyway these #vegan cupcakes are delicious. Everything was Asian inspired being at the temple. The (#vegan) butter cake was so good. It wasn't spongey and soft, but denser. It had a delicious plain but sweet flavor. It was topped with fluffly cream and strawberries. It was fantastic! Oliver agrees! The Temple Store is #femaleowned and #minorityowned ! OK you guys....this was my first time ever having a poached egg (real or vegan) and my mind was blown. It truly tasted just like a real egg 🤯 I wasn't sure if I would like it bc I never liked runny yolk on real eggs, so I got this on the side, but it would have been amazing on the Tofu, rice and Veg dish I got. This is from Yo Egg brand, not yet sold for retail. They topped it with black salt, for an even saltier, eggy flavor. The only non-vegan item I truly miss are eggs, even when I ditched dairy, I still ate eggs because my mom raised chickens. Anyways I digress, it's been years since I've tasted a real egg but even my omni husband said if he closed his eyes, other than the texture, he wouldn't know it was vegan.
