Iād like to preface that the #friedrice at this place is always solid ā Though it is pretty hard to screw up something as simple as #fried #rice š Also, this place will require you to make a proper #veganized request to #droptheegg š«¢ Iām sad to report that despite the seemingly abundant appearance in #seaweed , there wasnāt much of its flavour š If you were blindfolded, I donāt reckon youād be able to guess it was seaweed fried rice. The rice was still a nice balance of moist with a good bite and the cubes of carrots, peas and such were⦠well, just the way you needed āem š«” If nothing else though, the value on this place will always be there as this hearty single person portion is just RM6.50 š They got better fried rices here. We can do better⦠š
First time trying seaweed fried rice. Not super strong on the seaweed taste but it's okay. It's not too oily and not too dry either. Can't complaint as it's my first time drying this dish.
Part 2 of my #throwbackthursday dedicated reviews to a hometown favourite of mine š This was always my favourite dish at the place & I recall it being as seaweedy as ever 𤤠Thereās really nothing much to it, just some bits of frozen veggies in there, but it offers a whole lot of #umami. Iāll have to revisit this place once Iām allowed to leave my lockdown perimeter in Bayan Lepas, some time in 2027 and hope itās as good as it was years ago š #throwback #veganin2021
