The chicken is good but not super convincing - it's more soft and slightly spongy/porous. It had a good flavor though. I think this dish is good but nothing too special, especially since the rice isn't the normal "oil rice" too, so it doesn't feel very authentic.
A late post as I visited Pop Vegan months back. But the memory of enjoying the vegan chicken is fresh. I tried this place, this particular dish for the first time and I loved it and no doubt why it's their Signature. Not sure how the traditional one is so can't compare (also I have never tasted chicken) . The main flavor was in the side dips. . I was also impressed by the menu. So many options . The place is quite, you can actually plan an office meeting there. Will definitely recommend to try this place ! . Vegan Hoi Nam Chicken $ 138
This dish has vegan gluten chicken, bok choi, rice, and some ginger, soy sauce, and pickles for seasoning. This is a famous Chinese dish and although I liked it, it didn’t blow me away flavour-wise. My friend was really wanting some traditional Chinese food and he enjoyed it.
