Never Too Matcha

Beautiful presentation for this #dessert. The coconut taste in the #matcha #cake was very strong and unfortunately seemed stale. Overall wasn’t too bad as I’m a #matchalover. I did enjoy the coconut ice cream which was refreshing. The salted #almonds were a nice touch for some texture.

Light matcha taste and cake consistency, not too sweet which is always a + for me. The coconut ice cream was delicious 🥥

Amazing vegan #dessert dish!! Empress has great vegan dishes, from #dimsum to dessert :) they take special care to notice if you are vegan — and will even give you a complimentary vegan cake for your birthday!! Highly recommend, for any #cake and/or #matcha lover 🥰

The combination of tastes and textures in this is amazing. The bitterness of the matcha, sweetness of the red bean and coolness of the coconut ice cream marries this entire dish to perfection 👌 Definitely recommend!

The waiter mentioned they use very high quality matcha, and recommended to eat it with the coconut sorbet. We're not matcha connoisseurs though so we can't really tell and don't find it very bitter! The coconut sorbet is not sweet. The almonds were salted, not too evenly #veganuary
