Mabo Tofu Ramen

This was really good. That broth packed quite a punch. There’s a generous serve of tofu and loads of ramen to go with. Crunchy veggies in a bowl on the side. Tofu, veggies and noodles and flavours, What’s not to love? Portions are pretty huge too, as you can see, so i’d either bring a takeaway box, some company for sharesies, or an appetite and more. #mapo #ramen #tofu #mapotofu Vegetarian cafe on the ground floor in the 18 Tai Seng. With lots of vg-friendly options, part of a chain of vegetarian cafes across Singapore. Items are labelled if they contain dairy and egg, and if either can be removed. Food is tasty and reasonably priced, considering the indecently large portions. The folks running the shop are also really helpful and lovely. Cafe is accessible by train (#circlelineSG), escalators and lifts. or the main entrance. Car parking available upstairs and bicycle racks outside the mall.

Soy minced meat and soft tofu in sticky translucent sauce that reminded me more of Thai sweet chilli sauce than mapo tofu bean sauce. Served with seasonal vegetables, i.e blanched bok choy. Decent and nutritionally quite balanced albeit not really what I expected taste-wise. (Allium-free, $10.80) #sgvegan
