The menu teased a beautiful dish. Nay, even the last time I came here I saw other patrons served this item per the menu; #satay sticks in a head of #pineapple 🍍 What we got was a couple of plainly laid skewers with a barely edible pineapple head to show for. Was this because we ordered an additional fifth satay stick to accommodate the group? Who knows. It’s disappointing nonetheless in both presentation and flavour. The satay felt too heavily battered and dry. It wasn’t flavourful either. With such a theme going on, me finding many their dishes stale, you’d almost have thought I have covid. I can’t believe I #wastedanrtk just to let you know that I am indeed of sound taste & smell and that these dishes are for what they are, bland and uninspiring 😉 Let’s hope it’s just a bad day for them!
Perhaps the one disappointing dish out of all the ones that we sampled 😟 The #satay was tough and the sauce wasn't the familiar peanut one that I wanted 😔 Or maybe I was just ticked off that they hadn't - as the name suggested they would - served it *in* rather than beside the #pineapple 😏 That might have had something to do with the fact that we ordered 5 sticks instead of the regulation 4 😬
Deep fried soft and tender hericium mushroom. Great presentation. Taste is alright - little oily to my liking.
The satay is with monkey head mushrooms, but they make it themselves from dried mushrooms so it’s not the one with egg lurking in it. The presentation is great, but makes one feel they waste a lot of the pineapple, should have more of it cut to eat.
The Satay was good with nice presentation. The peanut sauce was mind blowing. Enjoyed the dish
