
I've never had this Middle Eastern dessert before and really enjoyed it. Served warm, this vegan version is comprised of 'cremy cheese', toasted shredded pastry and soaked in orange blossom syrup making for an interesting and delicious combination of slighty savoury balanced with sweetness. A great way to finish the meal.
You heard correctly - freshly basked knafeh with the crunchy outer and gooey centre. Not too sweet (which is what I prefer) and balanced with the rose water 🌹
