Face Plant is a 100% vegan fast-food burger joint that just opened up their first location in #northportland in the industrial area known as Swan Island. Face Plant doesn’t seem to be your average vegan fast-food chain—their prices are incredibly affordable compared to other alternatives, and being founded by a team of passionate folks with a lot of heart and creativity (check out their websites ‘About’ section) , it’s easy to see they really care about hospitality and serving well-crafted food. This Double Fancy burger was delicious and worth the wait! I went during their first few days of being open and they definitely needed to work out some kinks when it came to the wait time, but the owner was very apologetic and was giving out complimentary free burger vouchers for customers next visit. I went inside to order and my wait was about thirty minutes, but to be fair the drive-thru was filled with cars and the inside of the restaurant was also hopping. I’m sure they’ve worked out a better order of operations now, and hopefully not everyone is coming in droves like folks were during their first week (or maybe I should hope they still are? 🙃) The menu is very straightforward & simple, with little to no description on their website other than a photo & price, but this Double Fancy burger comes with two house-made patties, vegan cheese, lettuce , onion, tomato, and their secret sauce on a fluffy bun. It’s great and only $7.49! I really hope they keep their prices in this range and don’t hike them up to the teens.
