I got the biryani with falafel (protein), cabbage (side), tahini (sauce) and pineapple habanero (sauce).
It also comes with a bit of tomato salsa and lettuce. Total cost: $6.5.
I check with the staff--- no butter or ghee used in making the biryani! The rice was fluffy, but I won't say it is very flavourful. Doesn't really matter to me though, because there's still the sauce and toppings. Portion was generous!
Falafel was yummy and had a crunchy crust. Cabbage side was refreshing (imagine coleslaw without creamy dressing).
Pineapple habanero sauce was GOOD, just enough spice for me (less spicy than stuff'd habanero sauce)! Tahini added a faint creaminess to the dish. When asked, the staff told me the roasted sesame sauce was eggless, but I hesitated to order that as I have been misinformed about that at multiple eateries (not Dabba), so I'm gonna stay wary hahaha ಥ‿ಥ.
The staff were patient with my questions when ordering (well, but it also had no queue at the time).
One thing though. I FOUND A HAIR in my bowl 😭. I mean, I still ate the entire dish lol, this hair isn't going to kill me. BUT it just ruins it ya knowwww. Wait, another thing, the food wasn't warm/hot, and their box is not microwaveable. Probably still gonna order from them again despite this hahaha...
