This Dutch-processed cocoa powder is wonderful for baking or hot drinks.  Beans are grown by small-scale farmers in Peru and Dominican Republic and produced by a Canadian worker-owned co-op.  Organic and Fair Trade certified.  Also gluten free.  It is a bit pricier than some brands but worth it for quality and community values.

Peanut-free, gluten free, no artificial colours or flavours, non-GMO.  Made with whole grains.  As with most crackers, there is salt but not an abhorrent amount.  The biggest problem is they are addictive - I can eat them like chips all by themselves!  They work great with hummus too.  Don’t say I didn’t warn you about being addictive though!

I needed to find a shampoo that was a bit more gentle as my hair was getting longer.  I am a senior with partial grey hair and some shampoos were just too strong for the longer length.   Super Leaves Volume and Shine is great.   Very gentle.   I love the big bottle and that it is 97.5 percent natural origin.  Also made in Canada so a bonus these days.

I found this shampoo great for short to medium length hair.   It really lathers well and you only need a bit.  Great Rosemary Mint fragrance.  I’m not sure I could use it every day -  my hair was squeaky clean after.   I don’t swim much but I will bet this is great for someone who needs to use a shampoo that will get the chlorine or salt out of their hair.  I use a lot of Rocky Mountain products and this did not disappoint.  However, I did find that I needed a good conditioner after.

Wild Kindness Shampoo

I am a senior and needed a bit more moisture in my routine.   This product really worked well and you only need a few drops.  It absorbs right away and is not oily.   I’m just not sure of all the ingredients.   I do prefer a “clean” product and there seem to be a lot of ingredients that may not fall into the natural category.  The price is very reasonable.   I may still keep looking for something that might work that is a bit more natural though.

First of all this was a surprise when I opened the stick because it was tinted!  I didn’t read the label carefully and it says “universal shade”.  I have had so many zinc oxide lip balms that just make my lips white. This gave a very natural rosy tint.  Unscented and non nano. The actual dispenser is paper so no plastic waste. It was pretty creamy and absolutely what I would like in a sunscreen lip balm.  Made in Canada too.

These chick’n burgers are great.  Crispy, big enough to fill a bun.   Made in Canada (which is quite important for me right now).   The nutrition content is good for protein but rather high in fat and sodium (as usual for most prepared foods).   They come in a four pack individually wrapped so quite a bit of plastic waste.   The carton is recyclable and has the PEFC certification.  Just be careful not to overcook - I left my first one too long in the oven (my fault) and it was a bit too crispy.  If you follow the directions then they are great!

I really wanted to love these.  I have tried two different ones but didn’t find the aromas strong enough to repurchase.  I love the idea of aromatherapy and these are made in Canada and cruelty free.  But they just were not for me.   I may not be the best judge of scent so they might be worth a try if you like showers and would like the equivalent of a bath bomb.  The reviews on their site are very positive.

These were purchased in Canada so not sure if the same size box is available everywhere.  This box comes with 10 pouches. They are a bit pricey.  Personally I’m not a fan of chewy snacks but they were great as a treat for the kiddos.  Gelatin free, gluten free, no synthetic colours and organic so a decent “treat” that is pretty much candy but without so many synthetic additives.  Best thing - they are shaped like bunnies so perfect for Easter baskets!

I am on a mission to find a burger I like as much as Sol Cuisine Extreme and this is not the one.  I am not fond of really thick patties and this is twice as thick as the Sol Cuisine.  The taste was neither meaty or veggie (i.e. like beans or garden veg).  It had ample protein and a good amount of vitamins and minerals but I could not finish my burger even with lettuce, tomato and condiments.  I did read other reviews so I think I might be in the minority with my review of this burger but I will not be buying it again.  Still searching for a new burger since I can no longer find Sol Cuisine Extreme Grillers.
