#fibre and a source of phosphorus (helps healthy bones and teeth) and Vitamin B2 (helps maintain energy levels)
I sliced it and followed the instruction to marinade for five minutes. Good advice. I’ve had tempeh before and just pan fried it and found it dry and cloying. A few minutes absorbing some tamarind sauce mixed with olive oil and sesame seeds made all the difference. The tempeh sponges up the juices and all that flavour infused as you’re cooking. Very tasty accompanied by new potatoes and steamed curly kale. Very simple meal but felt nourishing.
Indonesia is a home of tempeh and Better Nature donate 1% of their sales to improve the well being of families there.
Priced at £2.99 for a 200g block, I think it’s great value
