Fragrant and tasty and accompanied with coconut yoghurt, sambals, rice and popodums, but hardly worth the R180 they charged for it. I’ll definitely go back for their Goats Do Roam Rosé though 😋.

One of the few wine estates (to my knowledge) to be offering this! 5 wines paired with 5 cheeses for R70. Cream Cheese, Mozzarella, Fete, Parmesan and Cheddar! Love how much this wine estate is offering now to plant-based customers.

Takes place in the tasting room at Fairview Wine Estate. Excellent option for those that don’t drink. R40 to try 6 of the 8 available flavours. Great quality ice cream!

Coconut and Fairview Cream Cheese with vegan granola and fruit. This was definitely not traditional in terms of presentation but it was beautifully creamy and really didn’t last long shared between the two of us 😄

An open style sandwich on toasted farm load bread with Fairview Cheddar, apple chutney, marinated baby marrow and green leaves. The cheddar was ok, didn’t knock my socks off but I am yet to find an amazing vegan cheddar. But it worked well with the other ingredients creating a lovely flavour combination.

A crumbed chickpea and mushroom patty, vegan mayo, picked cucumber and tomato with Fairview Mozzarella. Served with double-fried chips. The burger fell apart a bit but the cheese was very creamy and melts well. Very filling. Quite pricy at R170 but a good option if visiting farm. Glad to see more wine farms offering options.

I was happy to see all the vegan options. I wasn’t too hungry so I thought I would order this sandwich as a light bite. Well, it was quite big. Nice flavours, the onion jam is amazing, you don’t even need the vegan cheese!

This juice was so good I almost finished it before taking a picture. Fresh, none of the flavours are too overwhelming and the ginger just gives that extra kick.

This dish normally comes with paneer but the vegan version comes with Fairview’s vegan cheese instead. The salad was really beautiful and I loved the fruit elements, gave it a very fresh feel. I did feel it was a little steep to charge R135 for essentially a plate of fruit and veggies though.
