The presentation would probably be better if I were dining in 😅 This salad is vegetarian by default but vegan if the labneh is removed (unfortunately the person who ordered for me didn’t ask for it to be removed, so I scrapped it off). The salad was a bit bland, which is fair enough since I removed an ingredient, but surely labneh doesn’t add THAT much flavour? It wasn’t bad for getting in some veg and falafel, but I’d recommend going for their proper vegan options - hopefully they have a vegan salad someday for the veggie lovers. #ottawa

They have a rotating vegan baked good and it was banana bread on the day I visited! This is half the portion, as I split it with a friend. It was really good - tasted exactly like a non-vegan version. One of the things I love about Art-Is-In pizza is that they put sesame seeds on the crust; I was pleasantly surprised to find sesame seeds around the border of this banana bread, too! It was a creative little touch that stood out to me. #ottawa

This was a tasty avocado toast. I loved the addition of sundried tomatoes to give it a bit of a richer flavour. I guess the usual serving is larger than this because an employee came over, unprompted, apologized for it, and offered us a free coffee or dessert to compensate. To me it was an alright size, especially when paired with leafy greens, but it was nice that they proactively offered something to make up for it! #ottawa

Not all breads at Art is In are vegan but who needs anything else when you have rosemary and garlic together? This bread is delicious. A little pricey but worth it if you want a high-quality loaf, are hosting, etc. #ottawa

This is the perfect latte if you’re not into sugary syrups and overly sweet coffee drinks. It seems to be made with actual spices and minimal sugar - no artificial tastes or sugar crash to contend with. I recommend it as a seasonal treat! #ottawa

This sandwich is packed with veggie goodness, including thick, marinated mushrooms and a decent handful of greens. The cashew cheese is delightful (has a bit of a lemony flavour) and, of course, the bread here is always perfect. I love that Art-Is-In always has creative vegan options available. Now this sandwich was $18 without a side, which is pretty pricey, but it was filling at least. #ottawa #veganisnotscary

This is the perfect summer treat that might not be around for long! Sub regular milk for oat milk for this latte to be vegan. The strawberry jam they add is to die for - puts my homemade matcha lattes to shame 😅 It’s a shame that they use a plastic cup when you’re dining in. I went here on a whim with a friend but next time I would for sure bring my own cup ♻️ #ottawa

I was very excited to see this new pizza on Art Is In’s menu! “Sesame crusted sourdough, San Marzano tomato sauce, roasted oyster mushrooms, button mushrooms and shitake mushrooms, finished with our homemade cashew cheese, garlic basil miso pesto and our blend of chillies.” As a mushroom and pesto lover, I was really pleased with this creative combo. It tasted great paired with a full-bodied red wine. I will say nothing beats the vegan pepperoni pizza Art Is In used to have but, until they bring that back, I’ll be very happy ordering this. #ottawa

This sandwich is delicious and high in protein. Made on sourdough bread with marinated tofu, jalapeño peppers, and other veg toppings. It’s not always on the menu, unfortunately, though there’s usually always one vegan sandwich. #ottawa
