This croissant was everything that it needed to be: flaky, crispy outside and soft inside, buttery and delicious. So perfect it didn't need anything on it. Just as well I don't live in Hermanus s I'd go broke buying these every day. The top two are the orange and almond croissants which I've reviewed before.

Everything that I've had from this bakery has been phenomenal but this was really not nice. Way too much bicarbonate of soda which had a bitter aftertaste and I couldn't taste the banana.
