This dish was one of my favourites from our tasting menu tonight! The spinach was so well cooked with lots of fresh herbs, giving it such a nice depth of flavour. I love the earthiness of spinach so this was a highlight for me. This restaurant was really cool!

The okra was really well done, especially because okra can be super slimy sometimes. It was in a really nice tomato sauce and had some little pieces of potato as well.

This marinated cauliflower was incredible. Again, they managed to cook the cauliflower in a way that was melt in the mouth, with a really nice saffron and tomato flavour. You’re paying a lot for these plates, but it’s a cool opportunity to try a cuisine most people have never had.

The marinated zucchini was perfectly done. Melt in the mouth zucchini with a lovely tomato sauce and some vegan yoghurt. Truly a delight to the tastebuds!

I loooooved these veggie Afghan dumplings. 🥟 The wrapper was so thin and delicate and the filling was this delicious leek. They were under a bed of soy yoghurt which added a beautiful creaminess, with fried yellow lentils on top adding texture and some bright flavour. If you like dumplings of any kind, you have to give this one a try!

This Afghan restaurant in Antwerp offers small sharing plates with lots of vegan options! It’s a beautiful interior, and the food was just as beautiful. We got the vegan sharing option with 5 dishes for 34€. You can also get 7 or 8 dishes for more, so it’s not a cheap place but you really do get to experience something unique. This eggplant was sooo nice. Perfectly cooked 🍆 that was creamy and melted in the mouth, in more oil than I want to remember.

Pasta dumplings filled with an Afghan leek served with vegan yogurt and topped with yellow lentils. The dumplings melt in the mouth and leek taste between Swiss chard and spinach. Very tasty. First time to try such a dish.

Delrobah serves funky soul food with an Afghan twist. There is an option to order 5 vegan dishes for sharing. One of the dishes is a fried egg plant served with tomato with a creamy vegan yogurt dressing. I’m not the biggest fan of egg plant but this was delicious. I think this restaurant serves some of the best vegan dishes I’ve tried. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere with traditional Afghan decor and the service was excellent. Definitely worth a visit if ever visiting Antwerpen.
