I got it with mushrooms and Daiya. Tbh it’s kinda just like chopped up Tofurky slices, which is fine but I was hoping for something really unique 😕 And maybe they do make it themselves, but idk. Probably should’ve just got the cheez wiz sauce also

Blackbird takes making seitan to a level of artistry. The texture, mouthfeel, and taste is so close to real chicken it's astounding. The seitan on this sandwich is breaded and fried to crispy, golden perfection, smothered in fresh tomato sauce, and sprinkled with a very generous amount of vegan mozzarella - all on a fresh, local bun. The whole thing gets toasted so the cheese gets nice and melty. #abillionlove #ditchdairy

Yoooooo this sandwich is amazing!!! I've been eating at Blackbird for years and because their cheesesteaks are so awesome, I could never bring myself to order any other sandwich from there. Well, I finally did it tonight and I am kicking myself for not trying this sooner. Even my omni boyfriend tried it and wished he had ordered one instead of his Chick-Fil-A sandwich. He was seriously impressed and said he will def order one next time! I am blown away by how delicious this is... wow! #abillionlove #ditchdairy

Of all the spots in Philly that make vegan cheesesteaks, Blackbird wins hands down. Their seitan is moist and has great flavor, the rolls are always fresh, and the cheese sauce is perfection.

I tried their cheesesteak pizza last time I went to Philly and oh my god. Just go, that was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had.

Really good pizza, in fact the best vegan pizza I’ve had. They were all great. Spicy BBQ was a blast of flavor. Fungi was good, nice and mellow break from the spiciness. Cheesesteak was super flavorful too and I liked the seitan “steak”. Got 3 slices for about $12. Super full. Will be back someday to try more

Literally my favorite food right now. I get black bird every time I come into Philly and I crave these wings. The first time I bit into them, I decided they were what boneless chicken wings always wanted to be.

Now Blackbird happens to be one of the best vegan pizzeria in the US, but what they're also known for is their cheesesteaks. This vegan cheesesteak checks off all the boxes of what a cheesesteak should be. Yummy sliced steak (seitan) and a delicious cheese wiz like cheese sauce with onions and the perfect hoagie bread. If you've been to Blackbird and haven't had their Seitan Cheesesteak, you're missing out.
