Yo! Sushi Katsu Sauce

Wouldn't usually get a branded sauce but had a voucher to spend, this was very nice but yeah no need to spend that kind of money on just a sauce 🤷🏼‍♀️

Very handy and tasty product. Best not to use as cooking sauce but as pour over only.

I haven’t had loads of Katsu curry to compare this with, but I thought it was just ok. It helped dinner come together quickly but I found the flavour lacking somehow. It wasn’t terrible or anything but I wouldn’t get it again. #katsu #japanese

I got this packet of katsu sauce in my May TVK box, and I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with it as I’m not that big a fan of katsu curry. We ended up pouring it over rice and Like Meat Breaded Chicken (which I’ll review separately). The sauce was a slightly strange brown colour, but the texture wasn’t too bad it was fairly thick without being gloopy. The taste was not very good, it was very sickly sweet yet also quite spicy. I didn’t enjoy this very much and wouldn’t have it again. You get 100g in the packet, which is two servings, for £1.15 which is okay value. #abillionturns3

While I've given the presentation a 3 that's because it's just a bag of sauce, to! Branding is still great. I couldn't give a photo of the sauce without how I served it. I had a spare sweet potato, half a bag of panko breadcrumbs and half a pack of jasmine rice. So it was rice and shallow fried sweet potato with katsu curry sauce. The sauce is delicious
