This roast was delicious! I was worried about it being dry or hard but the texture was soft and moist! I really enjoyed the flavor and it tasted really good with homemade cranberry sauce!

This is a pretty good roast, but not my favorite. It's a little dry, but that might be my fault because I didn't use the gravy. It has a grainy texture but has a nice flavor. I like that it's an easy meal you can just pop in the oven; I usually bake it with potatoes, onions, and carrots for some added veggies #fieldroast #veganroast #roastdinner
I’m glad they offer this #fakemeat #veganroast in a smaller size (16 oz.,) since I ended up not liking it as much as I thought I would, and would not have been especially overjoyed to have to work through two pounds of it alone. It was OK, but I think my expectations may have been too high. The good: it’s so flavorful! One thing that Field Roast does really well is herbs and #spices: every bite was full of savory complexity. It was a bit salty for me, but I just ate it with other foods that were unsalted, and it seemed to balance out. I also liked that it’s easy to store (refreezing is fine) and fully cooked, so you can use it in myriad #lazyvegan ways without worrying about food safety. I enjoyed it thinly sliced, in a sandwich. You can see the wholesome ingredients, like whole lentils, embedded throughout. If you choose to roast it, your guests will probably be charmed by its cute appearance. The bad: I was not fond of the texture. While far from unpleasant, it wasn’t fantastic — somehow simultaneously spongy and rubbery. My family also complained about the smell (?) I don’t remember how much this roast was, but I bought it off-season and at Grocery Outlet, so it was probably $4 or less. #groceryoutletfinds I don’t think I would get it again — I’ll be sticking with Field Roast’s delicious sausages instead. #happyholidays
3rd or 4th year in a row grabbing this beauty for an Xmas spread, never fails me, everyone loves the flavours!
This is a roast of substance. Ingredients include wheat gluten, bread crumbs, a bunch of veggies and spices. The little pieces of veggies in the roast are a nice touch. It also comes with a tasty mushroom gravy. Would definitely have this again.
