Not quite #egg but the texture is very on point 🐣 Anything to convince people to #droptheegg though [1]! The rice was lovely too, topped with #seaweed, #scallions, and my personal favourite — crunchy #fukujinzuke 🤤 All for only S$16 🥹 Life’s Good 💖 Oh, erm #japanesefood you say? I uh… Toyota 🍞🐱 [1]: …cause telling people that stuffing chickens in small cages to spend their lives laying eggs to have their “useless” male chicks grinded up when we live in a society with more than abundant & nutritionally rich plant-based food is apparently not enough 🙄

I had this #japanese dish as part of my #abillion farewell lunch 😢 It was a very creative concept for sure! I got it because it was one of the lighter-seeming dishes in their otherwise heavy menu, and it did not disappoint in that regard! The #seaweed and spring onion added a nice punch of flavor to the dish. The meat skewers were flavorful and savory as well, with a nice texture. I have to admit though, the #veganegg did not resemble real egg much in texture or appearance. So overall this dish definitely wouldn’t fool a nonvegan, but it was still #yummy in its own right! The ambience at the restaurant was pleasant and made for a nice space for my coworkers and I to say our farewells. It was nicely decorated and the service was good.
