This sounded delicious on the menu. I've had good vegan food here before - so it was disappointing to be presented with this thali style dish. Similar to the much better one from Mildreds, it comes with scrambled tofu as well as chana dal, gunpowder potatoes, chaat masala, green beans and naan. Except mine didn't! :-( They missed off the tofu and green beans. I was eating lunch with a relative from oversees who I only see once a year, and I didn't want to make a fuss, so I just started to eat what had arrived. It wasn't a naan, more of a chapati, and the side salad of mixed leaves didn't really go with the dish. Eventually I became suspicious of the yoghurt type raita I'd been dipping the otherwise very dry potatoes in - I asked the server to check, and they'd given me a non vegan version of the dish! :-( Although they took £4 off the £14 dish, I didn't feel like I'd be going back any time soon, which is a shame as I've had good vegan food here before. But in an omni place, it's not worth the risk. Even without the non vegan yoghurt mix up, the dish was lacklustre to say the least. It was unwelcome that they'd sprinked what tasted like packet Bombay mix on top of both the the dal and the potatoes. Very disappointing. 😞
