It's like a deconstructed rice dumpling. Instead of being wrapped in bamboo leaves, sticky rice is served in a bamboo dish. It has various toppings like half a cherry tomato, some crunchy cashews, pieces of dried shiitake mushrooms, mock mutton, tofu scramble. There is a tangy sesame oil dressing at the bottom of the bamboo dish. The bamboo dish is filled to the brim, but try as best as you can to mix the sesame oil dressing into the rice for extra flavour. There is a raw salad of shredded beetroot, carrot, turnip, lettuce and sprouts on the side. It is refreshing and nicely balances out the richness of the sticky rice dish.
