Mong Cha Cha Cafe 梦茶茶
Singapore's 1st 100% plant-based bubble tea cafe. We serve waffles, ice cream, pizza, pasta and udon.
This was my first time trying an okonomiyaki, so I had no idea what to expect. It’s a nice surprise for me. Full of taste, flavour, veggies and more taste. The different types of sauces drizzled over the dish are tasty, but maybe just a bit too much for me, let’s chalk it down to personal preference though. Overwhelmed with flavour. Much love for what the MCC have done for Singapore. Fully vegan comfort foods (eg pho, pizzas, burgers, ice-cream and waffles). teas too. A happy place, in other words. it can be real stressful in Singapore, societal pressures, layers of oppression and discrimination, and a city where the death penalty is rife and the state continues to kill people. it’s sometimes nice to know there’s a little oasis you can hide for a bit.
Finally tried this before it closes. Great attempt at veganising this dish! Nice texture but I do find the brown sauce a little too salty for my liking. Hope can still find this dish at their other restaurants!
My favourite dish from MCC.. good to eat in, not so much for takeaway.. lots of veggies and potato 😋
$11.90. Such an innovative dish! Been seeing people post about it and finally went down to try. Crisp on the outside and soft with cabbage and carrots on the inside. For me a bit gelat if I were to eat the whole thing by myself, good for sharing tho!
I was surprised to find vegetables inside. I think they were purple and green cabbage as well as carrots. The waffle was fluffy and moist on the inside while being slightly crisp on the outside. The seaweed, mayo and okonomiyaki sauce combined gave an authentic Japanese taste. Definitely be back to taste this unique waffle! Oishii!
