Vegan Doner Kebab

This was alright, smelled really good. Pretty spicy and enjoyed all the toppings. The flatbread was really chewy and hard to cut. Nice place with a good selection of vegan options.

So, I was really looking forward to my first visit to Hillhead Book Club, and while it was good, it didn't wow me sadly 😕 This was meant to be crisp jackfruit, kebab salsa, cabbage slaw, yeminite dynamite chilli sauce, coconut yoghurt and pickled chilli. The jackfruit wasn't crisp and the dish was overwhelmingly minty and cabbage-y, and a little bitter. I expected it to be warm but it was cold. While it was tasty, I'd call it a salad rather than a kebab. #willows
