Raspberry and Coconut: the combo that any Scot dreams about… except this one, guys, would make your heart beat out of your chest and your teeth instantly decay due to the excessive amount of sugar (a solid 90% of the desert, I bet). Diabetic boost apart, the sponge has a soft but firm consistency to support the exaggerated sweetness of the cake, which, at this point, we agree is essentially a snowball rather than a traditional Italian dessert. The cream in between is indeed a potent icing patented by the most mephistophelian dentist in town, who found a way to boost his collapsing family-run business.
So much potential ruined by three barrels of sugar. I hope Eusebi will eventually make an edible version of this aesthetically inviting sponge. But so that you know: they also have vegan desserts ✌️
On a positive note, I liked the raspberry on top.
