I’ve been seeing a bunch of mouthwatering salted #chocolate reviews lately, which reminded me of this bar waiting patiently in my pantry for its time to shine. I have yet to be disappointed by Beyond Good; although I definitely have my favorites, all of the flavors I’ve tried have been wonderful in their own way. This one brought both the depth of flavor — with #seasalt enhancing the complexity of each melt-in-your-mouth bite — and the texture of crunchy, bitter #cacaonibs. In contrast, the chocolate substrate that these elements were embedded in was relatively sweet and mellow, with just a hint of acidity. At 63% cocoa, I think this technically qualifies as dark chocolate, but it should be approachable for those who don’t like too much intensity. 80%+ is usually where I’m happiest, but I certainly wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this bar to anyone searching for a delicious treat backed up by empowering direct sourcing initiatives to boot!
