My sister suggested we have lunch at the Old Westbury Diner in Old Westbury, Long Island, NY, as its menu is diverse enough to accommodate all 4 of us (especially me - the sole vegan among us. There were only 3 vegan options: veggie burger, veggie wrap (I’m assuming it doesn’t contain any dairy) and a standard salad. So this restaurant is pretty vegan unfriendly.

Having said that, the veggie burger was a true veggie burger. The bits of veggies (corn, beans, carrots, peas, etc) were quite visible. There was no attempt to resemble meat. The patty was large. I also liked that no condiments were added; just a couple tomato slices and a thick wedge of lettuce were offered to be placed on the burger.

It was quite filling.
