
Tahini paste is actually sesame paste. It is a staple ingredient in Levantine cuisine (Lebanon, Syria, Palestine..) we use it to make chickpeas purée called Hummus. You can use it to make all sorts of delicious pastes. In the photo I mixed a can of chickpeas, 2 tbp of Tahini, dried tomatoes, garlic, lemon juice, salt and olive oil. It makes a perfect vegan snack/appetiser.
