Sambal petai was amazing with eggplant. Love the vegan bilis but rice seemed a little off but hey it's a cheap canteen
This was excellent š Worth every bit of the RM8 I had to shell out for it š Iām so notorious for my dislike of āChinese vegetarianā #nasilemak (and #rendang for that matter) that @stevenneoh actually had to pull me aside and set my expectations up correctly. Perhaps seeing a hijabi behind the stall warmed me up to it more š§ ā but I think it stood perfectly well on its own right. Iām basing this off @stevenneohās review but I had no idea at the time the red #tofu like thing was supposed to stand in for #sotong š¦ It rubbed off as a weird #masakmerah to me, but that makes a lot more sense. Next to it, a #curry featuring some #fakemeat of sort but wholly delectable š£ Of course they got all the usuals right! Fragrant #coconutrice, hardly a given in Singapore where even omnis would tell you that they use plain basmati for nasi lemak š¤®, on top of a decent #sambal š¶ļø, ground nuts / #kacanggoreng, plus an #ikanbilis / #vegananchovy stand-in āļø If this was bungkusād in newspaper, Iād be equally happy. Especially since youād have to pay more for the inclusion of egg š«¢ The world needs an omni tax!
Iāve been waiting patiently, these guys been closing their restaurant for over 3 weeks for Chinese new year. But good news they are going to be open everyday now! This RM 7.5 nasi lemak + additional tofu is soo tasty 𤤠Tofu taste a bit weird and the meal is cold tho. Very okay meal for the pricešš»
One of the vegetarian/vegan nasi lemak places in KL which actually believe in cooking their rice with coconut milk. That alone is commendable. This comes as a set (with protein sheets masquerading as sotong sambal, curry potato + mock meat, and the usual cucumber + long bean + kacang and chilli), but you can always add other stuff from the display as side dishes. #nasilemak #malaysianeats
This nasi lemak is very satisfying. The sambal is spicy and flavourful. The rice is filled with fragrances and the portion is generous. There's also 3 main dishes to go with the rice, each dish resemble a local malay dish. Totally worth your money!
