Who doesn't like Christmas?? Veganburg launched this burger as a festive special, and the ABV
team was kindly invited down for a taste test. The Trufflebello Burg features a crispy portobello mushroom patty, kale (!!!), sun dried tomatoes, shredded purple cabbage, egg-free mayo, spicy truffle mayo(SO GOOD) all held nicely together by nicely toasted buns.
I would say, as an omnivore, the patty really won me over! The mushroom retained its juiciness, and each chewy bite was complemented by the crunch from the vegetables (so fresh!).
The spicy truffle mayo was supposed to be special, and indeed, the condiment binded all the ingredients together. Vegetables are obviously not as flavourful by themselves, but with the condiments, the burger came together as a whole and really did the job for me.
We got the burger as a set, so we had Sweet Potato Fries with a Creamy Maple Dip, and the seasonal Cinnamon Raspberry Chiller. Overall such value for money! Please do note that this seasonal special lasts only till the end of the year so PLEASE do try it before the year ends!
