The katsu was so good! I particularly liked the crispy crumb. Curry was quite spicy,
much more so than a typical Japanese curry, but still good.

Came here in hopes of their Thursday Nasi Lemak special but I was literally one
order late 😢 Decided to try their signature dish instead since I travel all the way to Clementi oop. Batter was really crisp, texture inside was great. Great portions of vegetables: broccoli, cauliflower, couple potatoes, mushroom and even corn!The curry at first taste was sweet, then comes in with a kick but that didn't last for long, it's really tasty but rather uneven saltiness and thickness (maybe because it's the end of the day) I do have to say one thing I really didn't like was how cheap their rice tasted - it felt flat compared to the other components.
Went to VCR for last lunch before they cease operations indefinitely from tomorrow onwards. The
omnipork cutlet was so crispy and tender at the same time. The curry flavor was just right, as it was more Japanese style curry, there was a sweetness to the dish. I do not have a sweet tooth so initially it was a bit too sweet for me. But after a few bites, I no longer feel it was too sweet. Hopefully it will reopen soon.
Really love this!! Super affordable and value for money. The curry isn’t too spicy, has
more of a tingly/numbing sensation that most Japanese curries have. Compliments the vegan mayo really well too. Would ask for more mayo next time as it’s super good :)
Only downside is that my mock meat wasn’t as crispy as the other reviews said it would be - taste was really good but the crust was really starchy and crumbly.
Other than that, it was super delicious and filling. Would definitely come back here and try out more dishes :)

The ‘katsu’ was really nice and crispy, and the overall curry
flavour was pretty good. I would have liked to see a few more veggies in the curry mix to freshen it up a bit more though.
